Fishing report July 2010
(Wednesday, 28 July 2010) Written by Paul
Well the walleye bite is still slow but the fish being caught are all on the plus side of 20" crawlers the bait of choice now, Smallmouths continue to be strong with lots of 4lb fish being caught, top water and jigs and plastic both working well. Also crappies and perch have been real good we have had some crappies in this week over 16 inches those are nice fish, minnows under a slip bobber doing the trick. The weather has been tremendous high 70's low humidity. Paul

Well we are in full swing, the Bass are hitting top water poppers and spider jigs in the rocky shorelines, The Pike are hitting perch colored crankbaits, white Mepps spinners and sucker minnows. Walleyes are slow trolling cranks seams to be the best bet a 26" fish being the best this week. The perch fishing has been real good this spring many jumbos being caught on the weed line right in front of camp. Good Fishing Paul
